Automatic music playlist by genre

Hi,

I really would like to see an option to create playlists by genre. It could be a menu option in the Playlist manager screen.

I like to play music at random but prefer it to be in the same style - I started creating a playlist manually which I named after the genre but it simply took too much time.

Please vote for this one - I need to check whose stv I'm actually using so I can beg with the right guy but for now it seems something everybody would use at least once.

Yep ... Sages Music Jukebox is still rough and dirty ... I suspect we will see better things in the future.

I really hope so - I get a bit worried when I see the different requests for enhancements. DIVX creation, DVD creation, X10 integration, etc.

I know several better music players but I'm using the one in SAGE because it is nicely integrated in SAGE although I'm not really happy with it.

I hope that the modded SAGE will not become a bundle of mediocre applications. I really hate it when people happen to see my system and can say for every aspect: nice but this app. does it better.

Have to admit though that I really like the weather enhancement.

Agreed ... You take raw Sage with a great PVR, add a little MlbDude to up the interface, drop in a little weather.com, if you're lucky like me and have an ATI Remote Wonder (with the Sage Plug-In) lying around you're doing OK ... Though I really don't want to, I'm looking for a way to integrate something like Meedio into Sage so I can leverage the best of both worlds and improve the Music side. As for me I am interested in MP3's at this point, I have not moved in to the DVD's since I am still using my Pioneer. But, some day I expect I will.

So if you’re a bit of a techie and with a little tweaking it can all come together. I'd prefer it all be there and believe they hear us so expect that the next rev will be as impressive an upgrade as 2 was .... With that I am not going to give up on Sage just yet. ;)
