Hello all,
I can't find the way to display a picture for each movie I have.
With MlbDude2_1_8_7 I have learned how to put a picture for a folder, but not for each movie.
I'm sure it's possible, in the MlbDude documentation they're is a screen shot of a folder in which each movie have its own picture.
Moreover I also can't find out how to manage the details of the movie, like Title, Released, Overview....
Please help !

Make a folder for each movie and put a folder.jpg file in that folder...
eg:
c:\movies\action\batman\folder.jpg
c:\movies\action\batman\batman.avi
c:\movies\action\Dirty Harry\folder.jpg
c:\movies\action\Dirty Harry\dirty harry.avi
(etc)
for metatdata, create a file called info.my, or moviename.my in the same folder as the movie, containing lines like:
title=Dirty Harry
overview=A cop with little regard for rules (but who always gets results) tries to track down a serial killer.
released=1971

I have added entries on this to the Sage Wiki -- it is for My STV, but applies equally to the Mlbdude2 STV.

Hi All, I'm trying to add movie covers to ripped dvd's on my hard drive. I've used dvdshrink which creates video_ts & audio_ts folders. So, for example, if I've got a movie backed up to D:\DVD\OpenRange and within the OpenRange folder, I've got a Video_ts &/or Audio_ts folder, the folder.jpg won't display (because of the subfolders). The import library is configured in SageTV as D:\DVD. Can anyone provide intructions on how to work around this issue? Thanks in advance.
p.s. I'm using Maldude v1.0

Try looking at my guide on the wiki, it's got a section on setting up DVD library.
FWIW, in your example you should have:
D:\DVD\OpenRange\folder.jpg
and
D:\DVD\OpenRange\info.my
Sage auto detects a VIDEO_TS folder with DVD files as a DVD.

Try:
D:\DVD\OpenRange\VIDEO_TS
D:\DVD\OpenRange\AUDIO_TS
D:\DVD\OpenRange\folder.jpg
D:\DVD\OpenRange\info.my
(updated my wiki pages)
Edit: Damn: stanger beat me too it :)

Okay, thanks. I've got the folder.jpg in there, just don't have an info.my file. I'll take a look at your guide. Thanks for both yours and nielm's speedy reply!

Stanger or nielm, does the info.my file have to be present in order for the folder.jpg to work?
Also, sorry if this should be obvious, but to create a metadata info.my file, do I just take a txt file with the info and rename it info.my?

The easiest way to create them is by using DVD Profiler and DVDPro2my. Otherwise just fire up notepad, fill in the info and save it as info.my (you'll have to change the Save as Type to All Files).

Thanks again stanger. I'll have to give DVD Profiler a try one of these days.
I've been able to get the dvd cover for Open Range to work, but seem to be having problems with others. When I view them in the Picture Library, they're all there. I've done a media library refresh and also tried restarting Sage, but no luck. The jpg's just don't show up.

Have you tried restarting Sage?

Yeah, I'll try restarting it again. I'll have to wait a while since my son's gotta get his daily No Doubt video fix. Funny how a 3 1/2 year old can have a Gwen Stefani fixation at that age. :D

No luck with restarting Sage. However, I did get one of the covers to show up after renaming the folder. Tried that with some of the others, but that didn't help. Not sure why that is.
