When will studio be released?

It seems to have been forever in development. I'm sure that Sage want it to be perfect, but its taking ages. I am beginning to wonder if it is actually vapour-ware!

I think you have to create a plug in to use with SageTV first and then they will send the link after that

It sure was. But I can't help to find the comments funny after all these months of waiting (mainly because I agree with them!!).

I'm sure Frey is working very hard to get us a usable product very 'soon'.

It's getting frustrating! Doesn't seem fair one person can "write an open letter" and they get STUDIO, no amount of words can convince me otherwise. I don't care that they were getting it 1.5 days before they posted. I just don't care.

I bought SAGE with the PROMISE of STUDIO within a few months!!!

I was then even willing to help out and try it without a manual, or instructions...nothing.

Now I'm bitter and border line PISSED OFF, as I see all these things I want to do and have no way to do it!

I think everybody needs to step back...take a deep breath...sit down on the couch... watch some prerecorded shows in Sage, and crack open a beer if thats your thing.

why don't you write something useful for sage and see if that gets you studio. It seems to me that if there is somewhat of a precedent set that you might get access to Studio by making plug-ins for Sage, ppl should stop complaining about it and hop to it. I'd be all over this if i knew anything about programming ;) .

And by the way, I'm glad ToonGal got Studio. I bet she'll start integrating some of the plug-ins that she's made and some that we've asked for.

So don't mess it up with your whining. and in general (referencing the above thread), ppl should learn to take a joke. they're actually kind of funny.

Just wanted to point out that at this time nobody has said 'for sure' if ToonGal has Studio. This is all speculation. It's (IMHO) not fair to Frey, or ToonGal to think that she has it, especially as a result of her posting.

As much as we all want Studio too and would like to here more from the brothers ... I am still happy to take advantage of the effort others continue to put in to give me cool STV's with new great options. So, as longs as the folks who have it are willing to do what they are doing and even provide updates to their STV's based upon our feature requests, I figure I am getting what I want without having to do all the work and troubleshooting. See, there is always a silver lining somewhere if you look for it ... :D

At this point I vote for a whole section on this forum dedicated to Studio ... requests, complaining, commenting etc. threads ... :p <j/k of course> :p ... even though it does get a lot of air time ... ;)

It was mentioned that Jeff emailed her at the hotmail account, so one can only assume. Eitherway, assuming she does have it, she is obviously talented and would take good advantage of the software.

I don't think my CONCERN and ranting will hurt anyone here on the board, I just choose to VENT here because my problem LIES HERE, or with SAGE.

SAGE has been so tight-lipped about HOW STUDIO works, I'm not sure if it's worth trying to MAKE any plugginns, as I don't know HOW or what is needed to encorporate it. Secondly, all pluggins I could ever want are already made, I just dont feel I should have to be force fed all the other STUFF about a skin I DONT LIKE.

Seems everyone (all 2-4 of them) have concentrated so much on redoing the skins and adding SO MUCH to the features, they OVER COMPLICATE IT IMO, and this adds complexity for the wife, the kids and myself, not to mention the install becomes a jumble of downloads and such.

Some of us would be happy with the DEFAULT skin and a weather module. PERIOD. Some of us would be interested in the new LEHAN-TAx skin also, bottom line is everyone is different in what they deem important. I'm just want my turn to make one for ME, as I'm sure LOTS of sage users who are waiting more patiently then I am do.
