Has anyone looked into this? I'd love to have a folder hierarchy where I select a style, and it lists the available shoutcast stations. Detailed info would give bitrates, currently playing, etc. Selecting it would start streaming the audio. I'd think that it would be pretty easy to implement, assuming that there's an API in Winamp or some other software for doing the heavy lifting.

I haven't tried this but one could do the following with dynamic menus:

create a submenu called internet radio

Create menu items for each favorite radio station (from shoutcast.com). Download each playlist.pls file for the stations you like. Link the menu item to an external windows command that runs the pls file you downloaded. This will usually be launched in winamp in the background.

Then the last menu item could be an external vb script to kill all instances of Winamp. Examples of the vb script is posted here for notepad. Swap notepad.exe for the application of your choosing...

It would be really cool if this Internet Radio function was built into the Main application rather than launching an external application. Then we can have some cool looking graphics to go along with the music...

Yes this would be a great feature. It is supported in other PVR's now including Mediaportal (http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/).

taitman, this does in fact work pretty good. Another user has posted scripts last month to do exactly this.

julesjohn, I think that's a bad line for Mediaportal.com

Cayars no line really as I have no connection at all. I do like SageTV a lot...just new to it. Honestly only pointing it out as one having it. Hope to see it in SageTV actually. Can you point to the posted scripts you are referring to? Thanks.

I'm not certian, but I think he meant to say it was a bad "link" to mediaportal(currently your link goes to a site called VerticalPortals).

Sorry about that. I fixed it above and it is here (http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/) too. Thanks.

Humm, I wonder if Yahoo's Launch could be integrated into Sage? That has replaced all my other internet radio station use.
