Here's some serious density, at not much more than two 200's would cost...

Wow. 400GB. I wonder if it's noisy? Comes with a 5 year warranty.
And sad to think that a Sage'd out PC could fill up this drive in no time :)
Yeah like Grey Goose and his 6 tuners! :D

How about Cayars and his 10 tuners!

I need some PVR-500s too. I just two more clients and sometimes 4 is just not enough when my wife wants to watch live tv.

I have few 400Gig hitachi hard drives and I love them, they are not any noiser than any of my other hard drives, they also do not generate much more heat than the other drives... I dont know seagate but that is great deal, I've paid for mine $399.

I generally wait until I can get them for $0.50/GB
It's tough... The timing has to be right with rebates and such... hmm... 400GB... Does anyone care that it's not ATA 133???

The 33 doesn't mean to much once you're at ATA 100. Would be much better to have 10K RPM first. :)

You can get 250gb drives for at around $.52/gb or 200gb for around $.48 but then if you waiting for 400GB drives to drop. There is Maxtor on pricegrabber 320gb for $139.99, that is $.44/gb Yes they will but at the same time other drives will came out, maybe like 500gb, or 600gb, and the whole game will start all over and you be waiting forever :) I know this feeling that's why if I do like I buy, if I need I buy, but if I don't really need it then I'll just wait…
Anyway I do love my Hitachi 400gb HD, its so fast… :)

I'd love to throw 2x 400GB drives in the machine... I just don't need it... I already have 2 x 250GB drives and another 200GB drive in my other machine for HDTV (fusion) recordings.. but if the 400's came down to ~.50/GB.. Then it would be a great deal and I would *have* to buy it..right?? But then I'd be looking for a divorce lawyer because the wife would disown me for foolishly spending money!! :D
I can't win..
Maybe if I start running out of space...
