Lucky Canadians!! Just came across a story about G4TechTv Canada is going to have "Call For Help" with Leo.
http://www.g4techtv.ca/callforhelp/aboutus/
Patrick Norton has some articles on cnet.com.
Didn't see a date on that article, but I think it is rather old. It mentions Leo and Call for Help coming "this summer". As far as I know, when G4 took of TechTV here in the states, Call for Help was dropped here, but Leo stayed with it on TechTV Canada.
If you check the show notes you'll see they go back to August 2004, which is about the time the changover happened here. Wish we could get it here, since there is NOTHING on G4TechTV here now worth watching at all.
Even though they kept The Screensavers, they've turned into some useless entertainment type show. There's nothing really usefull as far as computers and technology now on G4TechTV here at all!
And, personally, I can't see any need for a network station with shows strictly about gaming 24/7 (which all there is now).
Really do wish they'ed get some good stuff back on here in the states computers and technology again.

Yeah, I didn't see a date either. Will have to take some time to listen to his radio broadcasts which are on the internet.
The ScreenSavers has crashed and burned! I quit watching it. I check the show notes to see if anything was talked about that I would be interested in. They put just enough detail in those notes so that you don't really have to watch the show. Oh, and even using SageTV to record it and fast forward thru the 'bad' parts isn't worth it. :nono:

Life just isn't as enjoyable now without Leo and Patrick :(
Next 2 weeks with the holidays of course will be all re-runs. I'm hoping just maybe G4TechTV will come to their senses and get some good tech stuff on next year, but I doubt it will happen.
Sad to think it took TechTV 6 years to build up to a really high level, and it only took G4 a few weeks to run it all right into the ground :(

Yeah, I don't see them lasting more than 6 months at the rate they are going. The current ScreenSavers hosts are horrible. They don't even appear to know much more than what the cue cards are telling them. I long for the old days of ZDTV.

What the H*** happend to TechTV. G4TechTV is utterly bogus. I know the gaming industry is taking off, but a 24 hour a day show on Gaming is for the birds. I tried to watch Screensavers the other day and I couldn't watch it for more than 5 minutes. It made me sick. Is there anything else on that compares to the old TechTV? :bang: :soapbox:

I agree TTV has really gone to hell it has become one of the worst stations on tv IMO and I am even considering dropping a tier on cable a)to save money and b) because the only reason I moved up was to get this station. What a rip

Complete shame. I used to watch The Screensavers whenever I could -- same with Call for Help. It is such an injustice what Comcast has done to TechTV! Short of throwing a few hundred thousand Molotov cocktails at their headquarters I’m unsure anything will make it through the static in the bonehead executive’s heads. Unfortunately, they fired all of the TechTV talent and I doubt they will give Comcast a second chance to fire them.

What does Comcast have to do with any of this?

Ya know.......if we got to watch Leo he would just tell us all that we are wasting our time by not running a PVR on a MAC. I'm not hip to that thought. Besides....ever since Comcast merged G4 and Tech TV it has become more geered to the pimple generation. I miss the more mature audience orientated shows of Tech TV. :(

Hi, any word on the Tech TV shows coming back on the air ? It's a shame that they boot off the only great Tech show on TV. I use to tell all of my customers to watch Tech TV for their computer learning.

It's gotten worse now they are changeing the Screensavers name to "Attack of the Show". WTF thats just about the worst possible thing they could do but then again since G4 took over the show has gotten less and less to do with saving anything let alone screens or pc's for that matter and more to do with attacking well something but not computer problems thats for sure.
About the only thing of any use anymore are the rare dark deals kevin rose comes up with like my Dell 2005fpw for $549 last month. Great LCD not that i ever really cared for dell but it's a great LCD non the less.

Check out kevin rose dot com (http://www.kevinrose.com/index.php) . Looks like him and his buds are coming out with some cool new on-line shows. I checked out the first episode of thebroken (http://thebroken.org/) , and it was interesting.
