Pre-filtering

Hi Newbie here. What wonderful support seems to be here.

I have been using basic software recording with a WinTVGo and now looking to get serious with a PVR 250 or 350. My problem is that my input channels are of various quality and some are inverted. I wondered if there are filters with this software that cleans up the source material before it is recorded so I can put straight on to CD/DVD media without too much processing. For example is there a way to have the same functions that Dscaler has with its direct access to the BT chipset eg. white crush, colour inversion etc prior to recording so I can get the best quality source.

The only prefilter settings I know of are these. (http://www.freytechnologies.com/HPquality.txt) Look all the way at the bottom. I hope this link is of some use to you.

Thanks Justme. It gives me some hope. Could not see an inversion filter anywhere. Would love to have this functionality.

You probably already know about SHS's PVR forum. (http://www.shspvr.com/forum/) If you don't then definitely go there and do some searching. This is the best resource for PVR250/350 card owners that I know of. There is a user on this forum called Kevin Killer who has done alot of work on prefilter settings. He updated a program called WinTVCap(originally created by jptaz) to include lots of his prefilter tweaks. He seems to understand alot about the internal workings of the chipsets in the PVR cards.
