Can this be done?

Where are the 'Program Details' kept in a recording?
Is it possible to copy or extract the data and add it again to the file later?

I open a recording with MPEG2VCR (Womble) and cut the commercials out. I then save the file (will not re-encode and is very fast) and drop it in my 'Video Library'.
'Program Details' now only shows the new program length and air time, all other info is lost. Would be nice if that info could be preserved or added again. Possible?

Rename the new file the same as the original and put it in the same directory as the old one.

From there I can move the file to the library and it keeps the data - now if we just had different sub-category options in the library ;)
