I've been using Sage since Version 2.0, and finally I've encountered a problem I can't figure out for the life of me.

I have a server running, and 3 extenders throughout the house. (2 x HD200 1xHD300)

My extenders are shutting down on their own. Sometimes they will go a day running fine but mostly they crash every few hours and sometimes multiple times within minutes.

At first I thought it was my network (loosing connection causing the extenders to shutdown) so I changed my router, but that didn't fix it.

Then I noticed a setting in the SageTCPServer plugin saying "Auto reboot all the extenders on the restart of this plugin" so I turned that off.. no fix.

I disabled all Plugins and that did not fix it.

Now I think its actually Sage that is cutting off my extenders so I've turned on all debug logs I can find.

Every time a crash occurs I run to my computer to copy the log files to a folder so that the last entries are close to when the crash occurs.
I've looked over the logs but I don't understand any of it.
I have noticed some entries that stand out like "HANG DETECTED" but I have no idea what else is happening around that time to cause the hang.

I'm really frustrated because this has been going on for months and its getting to the point where I don't know what else to do.

My log files are too big to add as attachments on the forum so I've uploaded a zip containing a few recent ones.
I would seriously appreciate any help you guys could provide.

I need a little guidance. I installed a new 3TB hard drive in my Sage server and now, every once in a while, the system just freezes. There are no patterns that I've identified as of yet. Sometimes it is at the start of a recording, sometimes it is in the middle, and other times it is at the end of recording. Sometimes, the system is not recording at all.

Is there an event log that I can capture to identify what is causing these freezes? I've, so far, found nothing useful. I am using Windows 7.

The video plays fine, but there is no audio.

Is there any way to get the audio to play?

I also use SageMyMovies, and I noticed that there was a folder on my WHS in the My Movies install area that said something about adding audio decoders to that folder in order to get audio to play. Is this something that would help correct this? [Discovered that this was for encoding, not decoding.]

I know there are a ton of very long threads on this topic, but I think a lot of information in them is old.

My questions:
1. Any recommendations as to which product is the most stable / easiest to get working with Sage?
2. Can someone point me to the latest and greatest instructions for what is needed to make them work?
3. I've used products from Hauppauge and Silicon Dust before, but not Ceton. Can anyone tell me how good Ceton's support is (are they responsive, do they put out bug fixes quickly, do they document their updates?)? The same equipment was working fine before this.

I've seen the problem with at least Grimm, Fringe, Mentalist, and Person of Interest.

Possible causes:
My AV Receiver is the problem.
The SageTV HD300 is the problem.
The files are the problem.

One of these scripts is a maintaining and launching a video playlist via a web app on my iPhone or iPad. This video playlist contains three files, a "please turn off your cell phones" clip, a personalized "welcome to the movies" video clip, and finally, the movie I'm showing that day.

Since I haven't found SageTV playlist editor web app, I rolled my own rudimentary one.

Using the GetMediaFiles sagex api call, I want to get all of my media and display two or three separate lists: TV, DVD's and Blu Rays. The GetMediaFiles sagex api call supports specifying the media content type to be returned by the call:

MediaMask- string specifying what content types to search (i.e. "TM" for TV & Music, 'T'=TV, 'M'=Music, 'V'=Video, 'D'=DVD, 'P'=Pictures, 'B'=BluRay)


It seems though, that my content types are all mixed up in the database containing the master data. When I search, I don't get all my BluRay titles. The same goes for DVD and TV. The only way I could get all my media files to show was use TVDB as my content type and display EVERYTHING in a single drop down.


So, after all that.....does anyone know of a way that I can go in and modify the content types for each of my files in the database so that all of my BluRay's show up with a query for just BluRay's via the GetMediaFiles sagex call?
