I'll look into it for the next version. I just don't want the weather display getting too cluttered. It's already borderline in that view.

One other question.

On the Main Menu Icons, Selection Bar, when it says Main Menu, how do you know what is selected, other than seeing the animation? I like the clean look of not having the folder selections, but it would be nice if the current selection was highlighted, unless I'm not seeing something since I'm using VNC...

That setting is if you (or a theme designer) wish to define a custom selection bar for the main menu that is different from the folder view selectionbars. When this is set to Main Menu, the STV will look for main_menu_focus.png and main_menu_nofocus.png graphics files in your theme. If those files don't exist, then you won't see anything.

If you like the look of just the focused selection bar and nothing for the non-focused items, Copy icon_empty_focus.png and rename it to main_menu_focus.png. HTH

Mike

LOL, thanks Mike. You do deserve something nice for the work on this, that's for sure, but maybe just being able to live in Hawaii is deserving enough? ;)

Now that we have electricity back, it's nice being in the 21st century, or whatever it is...

Oh, great, thanks Mike!

I'm guessing you haven't actually tried it to see if it works. That's the first thing I tried, it's broken :(

Ah, sorry I told you the wrong settings. Try adding these to your theme.properties file.

Code:

Alpha/GuideAiringBGDefaultCurrent=150
Alpha/GuideAiringBGDefaultPast=100

Sorry for the confusion.

Aloha,
Mike

Maybe it's another HD extender problem, but I thought I had this fixed before loading the new version of MC. Everytime I start a show, Auto comskip is disabled. I've checked in the series settings and it is set to use Global. In the MC options it is set to enabled. Am I missing something?

Can't Play DVD in Sage MC

I installed sagemc_6_3_5_full and loaded it. If I put a dvd into the d drive and click on Play DVD, nothing happens. The screen flashes for a moment, but the dvd doesn't start.

Is there a way I can attach a command to the Play DVD button so that it will launch the TheaterTek player?

I managed to create a button on My Menu submenu which launches TheaterTek, but I would much prefer launching it from the main screen Play DVD

If I go back to the standard Sage interface, Play DVD works fine although I don't know which player it is using.

Suggestions?

FYI, you can dramatically change the configuration too. You aren't limited to a 3x2 icon array. Here is an example of another layout.

That did it! It's funny, the first one I guessed seemed to be a good guess ...but I was wrong. Now everything looks perfect!

...except I sure wish there was a way to put the oversized EPG margins back :(

I am having the exact same problem on a standard MVP. I tried to find the older version of SageMC that had this working correctly, but had no luck. For now, my wife is being understanding.... :)

All videos showing in 'root' of My Videos

I know I fixed this before in an older version of SageMC but I've just installed SageMC 6.3.6 and the folder structure of my imported is no longer present. All of my imported videos are visible when I gop into my video whereas before, They were organised in the folders that I have them organised on my files servers. I've searched this thread (My is it getting long now!) and can't find anything. I seem to remember installing a patch to fix it last time.

Oh, I knew that, but just am not as creative, I guess, here is my second shot, not trying to copy, I promise! :D

Need to add being able to move the time bar and the disk bar around! That could get interesting.

Yeah, mkanet asked for something similar. I'll look into it for the next version.

I decided to keep the original text view of the Main Menu for purposes of consistency on all my menu, submenus, and sagemc components. This update certain did help make things look nicer though :) Way to go Mike and Dirk!

I love the background image. Where did you get it?

mkanet 12-16-2007 05:47 PM

I found it on some fractal generation website. I switched PCs, so I dont have the bookmark anymore. Sorry.
