I was just reviewing the spec's again on Snazio's HD Extender.
http://www.snazio.com/links/SPHDSpecifications.html

model SZ1401 has the hdmi

I hope Sagetv releases a hdmi with their version of extender.

I wish they would give an updated estimate on this.
I would like to rid myself of the PC in my Bedroom soon but don't want to go with a regular extender unless this is still like 6+ months off...

You may want to go ahead and get a regular extender; even if this were released tomorrow, I'd bet there will still be issues to work out. Besides, a wired extender costs what? $120, maybe. That'd be 20 bucks a month for your 6 month period.

Just saying,
Stu

If it is 6 months or more then it would be money well spent to get a regular extender now, but I do not want to buy one and then a couple of weeks from now have the HD version come out.

Almost everything my family and I watch are SD converted to H.264 so everything would have to use the CPU hungry SageTranscoder. My Sage Server is usually encoding videos and also transcoding to one MVP.
I'm on the fence of spending another 1K on an upgrade to Quad-Core and another MVP would probably push me over. Getting a couple HD extenders and putting the MVP in the rarely used guest room would stop this from happening.

Just picked up a wired extender last week on ebay for about $50...couldn't wait. It was an older model, v 1 firm ware if I recall correctly and it stated up and ran immeditatly- much better than the network tweaking I had to do with my newer one.
