It is a CMT setting. A legacy function that's in it is to be able to create .properties files for airings (without a video file) and that's the location where CMT stores them.

Check that the Complementary Metadata Tool (CMT) plugin isn't disabled. It sometimes ends up in a disabled state when one if it's dependencies (Phoenix) gets updated.

The plugin repository is still at version 2.5.1 for Phoenix Core, while Phoenix API is version 2.5.2. Is that intentional? as I see 2.5.2 of both are on the download site.

SageTV stores any metadata available from the EPG at the time of recording within the media file. By default, any modifications to that metadata via plugins etc are saved in the properties files.

I have seen it disabled following an update to some of the Phoenix plugins. I suspect it's a timing issue with how the dependency checking works.

It does need a UI running to create .properties...

That's the result you get when you have a movie with a blank "Title" field. It just shows the "Episode" field, which would normally also contains the title for a movie.
