If you haven't make sure vsync and triple buffering is enabled in the nvidia control panel. It's something that a lot of people turn off because a tweak guide says so that actually helps situations...

undocumented issues with multiple hvr-1600s?
I have 3 hvr-1600s which are all of various vintage. Usually they ran without problem, with the exception of that if all three had shows scheduled at the same time one would always fail to record 5-7...
