The SageMC Screenshot Thread

So now that we have the ability to really customize the look and feel of SageMC, here's where we can put all the purty pictures to show off our late hours of tweaking and fiddling with the layout!

Please remember to keep pictures a reasonable size.

This is one of the concepts I'm playing with. The menu list scrolls up and down, with only two visible at anyone time. Once we are able to wrap vertically on a vertically scrolling table, I suspect this is the layout I will use.

This is what I'm using currently.

There is no highlight for the active menu item - you have to look at the big icon to see what is selected. I like the simplicity. This layout also wraps nicely on the main menu items when scrolling in the horizontal plane.

The Escape

I haven't had this much fun with my HTPC since I gave up on MEEDIO!! Dirk and Mike--Thanks!!

The first image is how I currently use Sage. This is a simple layout, with basic changes in fonts, icons and colors. The second is icon based that I'm playing with, but WAF is lower.

PS: Sorry I don't have anywhere to host the pics.

This would be really nice if you showed 3 icons and the list scrolled leaving the current selection in the middle position.

Your theme is looking great! It's nice to finally see something that doesn't look so similar to the old MCE2004/5 UI.

This is technically a screen shot, of a mini guide enhancement that I am working on for SageMC. I haven't figured out yet how to get this in a form that others can load (working on it!) but here's how it looks :

LOVE IT!!

The only thing I would change is to reverse the channel order.

I actually like it in the forward order, perhaps an option?

I had it reverse from what was pictured initially, but I kept navigating the wrong way. The way it is now pressing the up arrow in the miniguide moves you to the next higher channel (ie from 2 to 3) - and having the 3 slide in from the bottom really messes with my mind!

But I think I can probably make that selectable.

My reasoning is that I'm used to navigating the guide by pressing down to increase the channel and up to decrease. From my POV, having it in the reverse order would confuse me!

If it's not able to be selectable, I'd still use it!

i think this looks amazing, i hope it will match the skin of sagemc too, are there more options that you are thinking of like limiting or expanding the number of channels it shows on the guide?

Wow Bialio, you should have never showed this, now you're going to have everyone.. including me bugging you for a Mini-guide stvi for SageMC. I hope you will make this available for all of us; with configurable options... and for it to use people's existing themes from SageMC.

Great job! Keep up the good work.

I definately will have an STVi for this eventually. Once I work out some of the kinks.

What kind of things would you want to see pulled in from the theme?

A few things I haven't done yet, which are on the list, is to pull in the guide coloring (if configured) so that each channels in the upper and lower lists have a hint of that color. Also will pull in the icons that are normally on the mini guide. The large red area in the picture of the channel in focus will also pull it's color from the guide color rules.

seriously that is the type of enhancement that makes me wish I didnt go back to school this semester....fulltime school + fulltime work + fulltime dad = very limited fiddling, but I'll be glad to help test it
