Colossus: There is another system???

My Colossus is doing something very strange today. When I woke up this morning, the only thing on my SageTV screen was a simple message: "Warning: There is another system". At first I ignored this message (hit "Ignore" in the dialog box) and tuned to some live TV. The Colossus seemed to work normally at first, but the same message kept overlaying every so often on top of the live TV. Whenever it did, the video would become really laggy and the audio would stutter. After a while I noticed the messages were more frequent. Finally, it threw up a blue screen with a prompt asking it to be allowed to communicate with the other system that it now referred to as "Guardian" (sorry, I don't recall the exact message).

I hit Cancel at first, but the message just repeated. Channel up/down had no effect at all. Since I wanted to watch some TV, I finally figured "why not?", maybe I could watch something if I allowed it to proceed. So, I then hit "OK", and all I got on the screen were some funky math equations and trigonometry. This went on for a few hours. Frustrated and wanting to watch some TV, I unplugged the ethernet cord.

Ever since, Colossus insisted the link to "Guardian" be restored, but I want my TV, so I kept hitting the cancel button. Finally, it demanded the connection be restored. Actually, the exact error message was "RESTORE LINK IMMEDIATELY OR ACTION WILL BE TAKEN", in all caps, with only an OK button and no option to cancel.

Thinking that perhaps this "Guardian" is the replacement for SageTV (or maybe a driver update for the Hauppauge Project), I went ahead and plugged it back in. Just now, Colossus has announced the update is complete and it is one entity with Guardian, but I still cannot watch TV.

WAF and KAF (kid acceptance factor) have suddenly dropped to an all time low. Wife wants to know why Grey's has been frozen on the bedroom extender for the past hour, and the kids are going through what appears to be "Sponge Bob" withdrawal. I don't know what to tell them! My SageTV is completely unusable since this morning and the Collossus/Guardian seems to have just taken over my whole network. If I ping my SageTV server Colossus seems to get VERY irritated...something about searching for codes. I assume it is talking about my SageTV registration code?

I'm thinking of just reformatting and starting over, but thought I should ask here first. Oh, and I checked the Java heap, it seems normal. Any ideas?
