to make old cache files work either
1. edit the files so that there modification date is <1 day old or
2. edit scripts\uk_rt\ukrt.lua, on line 12 change cachemaxdays=1 to the age of the cache files in days

Thanks guys, now I just need someone to crop up with the cache files

If none appear tonight I'll take a look at Stephane's importer. Have been meaning to switch to it anyway but was going to leave it until the next sage release.

Sorry, I don't use the cache. And if people's grabbers have run today the caches will have been emptied...

Stephane's importer still uses RT for the UK doesn't it?
And I've avoided it because you'll effectively lose all watched data (although it's always possible I'm hopelessly wrong as usual!).

This was just so I could use it to munge the epg data doc sent to me. Sage box is going to pretty useless in about 36 hours time!

Edit: Trying a cut 'n' paste and search/replace on docs file

Munge? Surely the verb is "to mung" not "to munge"?

Glad I could have been of some use for a change, its usually me asking for things off other people!

I half expected the web site to start working again as soon as you got the data sorted out, that would be sods law

RT main site is back up...
RT xmltv server is up, but has zero content for the moment.
http://xmltv.radiotimes.com/xmltv/channels.dat gives a 404
