Case change - lowercase

This is a totally noob question but how do you change the case when inputting items on the extender.

I've done it before but I can't seem to figure it out.

I searched and it was suggested to hit pause but that just pulls up the full alphabet input instead of just the numeric pad.

I am trying to rename the menu items on the main menu through dynamic menus.
