Channels disapeared

I have 3 cable boxes being captured via HD-PVR's. Station KPHODT is channel 705 on the cable boxes. It is enabled in Sage and used to appear in the guide.

I added a Hauppauge 2250 yesterday and set it up to record OTA ATSC channels. On the 2250 KPHO-DT is on channel 5-1.

As soon as I added the 2250 channel 705 disappeared from the guide.

I expected both to be available: 5-1 and 705 allowing me to choose whether to record it from ATSC or from the cable box.

Did Sage just combine both into 5-1 and will choose where to record from or can I no longer use a cable box to record KPHO-DT?

This same issue affected other common stations as well. For example, KAET-DT is 708 on the cable boxes and on the 2250 is channel 29. instead of both 29 and 708 being listed only 29 is.

If they are the same stations in SageTV's database, then they will be merged in the guide, as mentioned on pages 47-48 and 149 in the v6.5 PDF manual.

That's it exactly.

I did find one problem when I performed a tuning experiment to check this.

I already had scheduled recording taking up 2 of the cable boxes and one of the OTA tuners. That left me with one of each.

I set up a manual recording of a channel that was available from both sources and then chose a manual recording only available on a cable channel.

Sage chose to use the cable box for the 1st recording and then gave me a conflict when I tried to set up the 2nd even though I had tuners to record both if Sage had chosen differently.

Of course I kind of cheated by setting up manual recordings. If they were scheduled recordings Sage would have had an opportunity to see the conflict ahead of time and alter it's tuner choice but the same situation could still happen with two different people watching live tv.
