Svideo out from NTL box (Pace DI4000-N)

Has anybody got Svideo input to work from an NTL Box (Pace DI4000-N) to a Hauppage PVR-350?
I've got a converter box from Maplins (RGB to SVideo converter).
This takes scart input from the NTL boxand produces svideo output.

Unfortunately I do not have any other svideo devices to test on.

I have remapped channel 0 to 20 without any signal (or snow etc).
I always get solid black with a blue menu element in bottom lhs of the window.

It is not vital.
The current TV output from the NTL box to the TV connector on my PVR-350 works fine.
