Programming Sage TV w/o Guide
As a registered SageRecorder user, I appreciate the simplicity of recording programs. I (today) downloaded and started to evaluate SageTV. Bummer deal here is that it removed my SageRecorder software, along with all my programs I had set up. Not a big deal if I decide to purchase SageTV.
The question I have is this: If Frey is no longer able to provide free EPG functionality in the future, will it be possible to use it similarily to SageRecorder?
I am hopeful that the free EPG will continue forever, but that isn't realistic. After all, I had a paid sub to DigiGuide, and they pulled out of the USA. At least with my TiVo, I am able to program it like a VCR (I have the 1st Gen unit). How would SageTV behave?
Additionally, I have mentioned this before, and I know you don't have any obligation to do so, but it would be fantastic if Frey would provide some sort of an upgrade incentive discount for existing SageRecorder users. It would certainly expedite my purchase decision.
Thanks for reading, and my opinion of SageTV after using TiVo for 2 years is "WoW!". Kudos to you for the best TiVo alternative I have seen!
