Satellite not working with encrypted channels
So I got my satellite card working finally back in around November with SageTV.
The card is a TechnoTrend S2-3200 and it has an add on CI interface for handling smart cards. Now the channels that I subscribed to were unencrypted at the time I setup my card because they were going through an upgrade to a new satellite transponder, but ow finally they shipped out smart cards and activated encryption. The smart card is an irdeto card and I got it activated on the normal external receiver box they gave me, but when I swapped it over to my computer, plugging it into my TechnoTrend CI slot the channels come up in SageTV as "No Signal". What could be wrong? Am I supposed to activate the smart card while it is plugged into my computer, instead of the receiver? I wish I had better diagnostics on this card |
