Stupid(?) question - record weekly time slot
How do I set a Favorite to record a program each week at a specific time slot? there is a program every Friday at 8:30 on a channel that I want to record - however, the "program name" is always different, so I can't make it a Favorite like I normaly do - through SageTV Web Server interface (v2.26)

I don't think you can.
It wont be a favourite as it doesn't use the EPG data to choose what to record. You'd have to set up a weekly timed recording from within Sage itself. The webserver only lets you set up a one-off timed recording

However......
the mobile web interface lets you do this, so if you install that as well as the normal web interface you should be able to do this. |

Hmmm, that's interesting...I'll look into that. Thanks!

That'll work, thanks! One thing - I wish there was an indefinite "Stop". Looks like I have to specify an ending date?

Try an all-fields keyword Favorite where the keyword is a space, then limit it to the channel, day, & hour you want. That will work as long as there is always a space somewhere in the show's info. You may get more shows than you want because the time limit is for a 1-hour period, not a half hour.
When creating the keyword favorite, first give it a gibberish keyword & then edit that to be a space after setting all the limits, or else the initial space keyword will match everything when you create it. - Andy
