How does Sage Handle Time Change
I use XMLTV and see in my xml schedule that the program times are in GMT -0400. Does sage look at my computer timezone and take into account daylight savings time to determine when to record based on the computer time?
Currently my clock is set to Eastern GMT-0500 with automatic daylight savings enabled. Everything works fine now but what will happen later tonight? I'm looking for a detailed description of how it works to satisfy the engineer in me! Thanks, Coolbreeze |

I believe (based on what I've seen and what others have posted), that Sage runs internally at GMT, daylight savings time should have no real effect. I think that the GMT offset and DST are only applied on the display of the time. For example I remember at least one user reported that Sage was off by an hour, but so was the guide (ie it was 4:00, but Sage showed 3:00, and displayed shows on at 4:00 on at 3:00) so that Sage had the right time internally but was displaying it wrong.
