Linksys network storage link

Has anyone used the linksys nslu2 (nas interface for usb2 external hard drives) with success? I purchased one thinking it would be a nice way to add storage as the htpc in the living room is maxed out. All went well on the install, sage recorded fine to the drives but the playback is terrible jerky, stuttering, etc. Has anyone had any success with this device?

I gave up and hooked the usb hard drives to the HTPC and all works fine.

I bought one of those recently. Though I haven't used it to record from Sage. So far, recording on a network share has sucked big time in general for me (pretty much as you described) so I didn't even bother to give it a try.

Just wanted to remind you to make sure that the external drive you are recording to is using 64k clusters. That seems to solve stuttering for some.
