Slow EPG

Since upgrading to 3.0.x beta, I noticed that the EPG is much slower to display when selecting "LiveTV Guide" from the main menu. I get the "SageTV hourglass" for a few seconds before it displays. Anyone else experiencing this? Any reason why it should be so much slower than 2.2.8?

I am experiencing this also. I do remember an earlier post that indicated that Sage was working on a caching issue so it will probably be fixed in a later beta.

Yeah I noticed the same issue. I hope it is fixed in a beta release because it can be annoying.

BTW: What beta version are you using? After I installed v3.0.7, it felt like various menus were loading faster.

Interesting. I noticed it also, but when I installed the Beta was the same time I finally got around to filling out the channel logo's folder and just attributed it to Sage having to display all the channel logos.

It seems especially slow when you first go to the EPG after Sage is fired up. Then it gets better, but still a lot slower than it was before.

I noticed this as well... The first time you enter it is the slwest it gets... The animated icon spins for a good length of time before the guide shows. I also think it slowed down when scrolling through my import dir aswell.

I have reported this as a bug as well. Ok, so my 1.1 Duron isn`t cutting edge, but given that it`s only working out what is on for 10 channels and displaying it, it`s amazingly slow, especially compared to 2.2.8
