Record the same show in HD and SD

I set up separate favorites to record a few of my shows in both HD and SD. Only one show (either way) is showing up as automatically recording. I would like to be able to watch HD on my HD and use the MVP for the SD format.

Thanks,

B

I'm doing this right now for the same reason and it works. However, I have noticed from time to time that the HD version of the show doesn't show up in the upcoming recordings until only a few hours before the show. It's kind of odd. And on Monday, the HD version of the show didn't record at all and there were no conflicts. But, other than that it has been working and recording both SD and HD.

I did some favorites testing based on what someone else said a while back -- limiting 1 fav to the SD channel & the other fav to the HD channel. The strange thing is that the schedule seems to show only 1 airing scheduled to be recorded, yet both airings were recorded. I haven't played around with it long enough to know if it always does that.

Hi Earl... welcome to the forum.

I just wasn't comfortable calling you "The Office".

Rats. It just dawned on me that those were show names... oh well.
