Remote control setup help?

I want to get SageTv working with a remote control and I need to ask for some help and/or advise. I have a USB-UIRT connected to the SageTv HTPC. I also have a Home Theater Master remote MX-700 (which I love BTW). Do I need to configure SageTv to use the USB-UIRT option or set it for one of the Hauupauge remotes 30 something button or 45 button remote? I believe my Home Theater Master remote has codes built into it for both of the Hauupauge remotes. What else do I need to do to get remote control?

SageTV would have to be set to use the USB-UIRT & then you will need to link a button to each command you want to use.

You can set the remote to use any device that fills all the buttons you want to make use of. I wouldn't use the built-in Hauppauge remote settings for this because you would then have to teach SageTV the same button twice for each command, since the Hauppauge remotes use a toggle code. The Hauppauge IR receiver takes that into account, but the USB-UIRT reports them to SageTV as distinct codes.
