Question DVD and PVR-350 TV-Out

I have SageTV 4 with a PVR-350 card and am using the PVR's S-Video out to display menus and video on the TV. When trying to play a DVD I get nothing on the TV but I do get sound. I have not tried a monitor because the computer is kinda tough to get to.

Does/Can SageTV play the DVD on the PVR's S-Video out? Or will DVD's only play via the video card?

The 350 is not capable of DVD playback; it can only be used ot play the video formats that it supports in its hardware decoder.

So, yes, to play a DVD, you would have to go through a video card instead.

Egads, bad news. That's what I suspected, thanks for confirming.
