'Normal' access speed

More of a general performance question IRT MVP. But for example, it takes ~20 seconds to load the 'weather' screen. I'm running 4.1.12 (was same on prior versions I think); though I didn't notice any slowdown in .12 just to clear that up

Just wanting to make sure that's normal

Can't say I've timed it but it does take a long time to come up for me too. But I believe it is about the same as my regular PC client.

While I haven't measured it or anything, it seems like mine takes about 10 seconds or less. Are you using the Dynamic Menus stvi? I know that when I was using it a couple of versions back it would slow down the UI a bit.

Nope not using them. I am using the 'secret' options though; I do have a lot of recordings and use the modified views but those don't take more than ~10 seconds to load and seem to cache fine.

It only takes a few seconds to load the built-in Weather screen on my MVP. Check it on your server to see how long it takes to load the screen in your UI there.

Ah! Good question ... I just checked and it takes ~6 seconds on my server running a stock speed AXP-M 1800 and that's through a VNC session. My dedicated AXP-M system running @2.4Ghz takes ~7 seconds.

I just rechecked my MVP also and it took ~18 seconds.
