Frequency file

Hi, I have a NOVA-T card and cannot get any channels. It just posts "no signal2. Card works fine with Mediaportal, WINTV200, MS MCE etc.. The problem seems to be the .frq file, which appears to be a dummy..all 0's. I am on the Reigate transmitter (Booster from Crystal Palace). I have created .frq file from date souced using scanchannelsbda but this has not seemed to be picked up. I have tried various versions of SAGETV 4.3 upto 5 with the same results. Does anyon ehave any suggestions, .frq file that I could try.

thanks for info, but it does not seem to have made a difference. i presume something else is wrong.
I install SAGE v5. I copy the frq. file into the SAGETV directory, start SAGE, I follow the SET VIDEO SOURCES dialog, and select my NOVA-T card. But I don't get any signal on any of the channels!

Do you have a lineup?

Yep, been working fine for ages! DVB is still in beta, so report any bugs.

You also need to install the files here, unless they were incorporated into 5.0.3.

Works just fine in 5.0.3 even without qian's files.

It's still in beta. The only difficulty is that you have to configure the .frq files by hand. Once that's done everything works fine.

I had a VERY quick play earlier today with my nova-t. It seemed to work well for a while, channel changes seemed to happen properly and smoothly and all the channels seemed to tune well.

After a short while being left on a channel though, the picture would freeze and the only way to get the nova-t card back working again would be to quit Sage and re-start.

I'll give it another go as soon as I get a chance, but fro now I have had to remove the source. (Can't risk missing something that the significant other has recording).

Had similar problems and am exchanging emails and logs with Qian to try track it down. Had to switch back to SBDARecorder as several recordings failed due to crashes.

Did you try scanning, then looking at the FRQ produced for clues?

If that doesn't help, you can try and follow the procedure here, using these frequencies:
754166
834166
850166
842166
786166
810166
