cannot see .stvi files in Sage

When I try to import an STVI file, SageTV v5 first only shows an option for STV import, and when I go in there, STVI files are not listed.
anyone know what the problem may be?

Works for me using the default V5 STV (which is called SageTV3.xml, not SageTV3.stv).

If you're using some third-party skin, say which one and maybe the author can help you.

You probably loaded the old sageMC_169.stv. Once you load a .stv file, the .xml files won't show up anymore (they weren't supported back then). You have to open your sage.properties or sageclient.properties file and manually change the .stv to .xml in the appropriate line. Just search the file for 'sageMC_169.stv' to find it. Make sure you shut down sage first so that the changes take.

Aloha,
Mike

your a godsend
funny thing is, for some reason sage.properties was pointing to SageMC_169-1.xml... so it was an xml, but I didn't even see that file listed in the directory, and removed the -1 and it works.

Whenever you import an stvi a new stv will be created with a number at the end. The name of the stv listed would indicate you had imported an stvi into the default SageMC_169.xml file.
