Unable to Play MKV Files
I haven't seen any posts on this. I've just started to transcode my DVD's to MKV container H.264/AC3 files. These files playback fine on my SageTV Client and on my HD Extender. But they refuse to play through Placeshifter. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or if it's something I need to contact support for?

I can play mkv files fine through placeshifter as long as it starts at the beginning of the show. And I also can't ff or rw.

Yea, the no FF/REW thing is kind of annoying. Kind of an unfortunate side effect of switching from an AVI container to MKV. Although, I think I'll stick with MKV since it's more compatible with H.264 video. Just have to solve this problem with Placeshifter.

Digging up an old thread, but I have this same problem. MKV files play fine EVERYWHERE, but in placeshifter, I get the player flash for a second before going back to the media list.
This is a local network.

Phaseshifter worked fine for mkv (minus the ff/rw) in ver 6.4, but not in ver 6.5.2 beta for me
