Arrow STV Import: SageMC Advanced Mini Guide

Version 2.0 & 1.3

Here is the Advanced Mine Guide for SageMC. This is an alternative to the standard mini-guide. See pics down below.

Please note that SageMC version 6.3.7a+ is required for this to work.

For SageMC 6.3.7a , download here.
For SageMC 6.3.8, download here.

Enjoy!
btl.

----------------------
Revision History :
----------------------
V 2.0
  • Updated to work with SageMC 6.3.8.

V 1.3
  • modified Channel UP and Channel Down in AMG to skip the number of channels visible, and to honor the "Miniguide Reverse Up/Down" setting
  • modified AMG navigation so that if you have navigated to a future time slot (via the right arrow) and then go up or down, the AMG stays in the future time slot instead of going back to the currently airing time slot.

V 1.2 :
  • changed layout of focus channel to give more room for the title
  • added options non focus channel number / show title font size
  • added info for shows with no description - the "category :: subcategory" of the show is used for these instead of nothing
  • renamed "Navigation" option to "Channel Order" - Ascending and Descending

V 1.1 :
  • moved color related properties to the theme.properties file.
  • added a color property for the channel number text in the focus area
  • added options for Vertical and Horizontal Alignment, Height, and Focus Airing Info Font Size
  • fixed bug where description text wasn't scaling

V 1.0 : Initial Release

updated 3/11/2008 for version 1.3

btl, this is such an awesome addon!

When I am full screen, the text for the show description is a little too small to read. When it's in a window it's the right size. Is there a way to fix this text so its consistent?

Excellent work, just gotta wait for the waf to dissappear so I can install it

Thankyou

Edit:
Ok, I've had some time to try and get ths to work but it just doesnt I've tried it on 3 machines and all do the same thing so I'm not sure whats going wrong.

SageMC 6.3.7 is installed and is working great, all animations are enabled. Using the latest version of Sage and Java.

When I try and view the mini guide nothing appears on screen. I can press up / down twice or however many times then press ok and it will still change the channel so its a mini guide display problem (I think). If I change back to default mini guide style then everything is ok.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Ben

Edit:

Ok It appears I was being a bit stupid, all I had to do was import the STVI as sugested below for it to work.

Many Thanks

This plug-in looks awesome!

I have a newbie question, so I appologize in advance. I have never used the mini guide. How do I turn it on/pull it up. I have this plugin installed and followed the instructions to have the miniguide setup read external STVi. When watching a live TV show I hit ctrl-x and is brings up the original guide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
Dan

Press down on your remote control.. If that doesnt work, go to the section in the options for it to turn it on. The place to turn on this feature is described in the download section.

Do I have to import the SageMC_AMG_1.0.xml file as an STVi before this will work? I get the default miniguide when I press down, but when I select external stvi - I get nothing.

Thanks,
Dan

I can't seem to see the miniguide style on the sagemc menu. I checked the code through studio, and I see the AMG code, but the sagemc code does not have the option under video OSD for that option. I also checked the .properties file, and could not find sagemc/MiniGuide/style entry... Is there another step I must have missed????

Thanks,
Jeff

I noticed this too once I got it on my 1080p set - I will probably add font size control like there is in the "default" mini guide. And yes, it will be consistent between windowed / full screen.
