New Client ActiveMovie issues

Hi all

I've just built a new client using an Asus Pundit P Series as a base.
Everything was going well until I tried viewing a recording.
No matter what decoder I use when set to Overlay, I get a sage exception error. And when I use VMR9 I get a sepparate window popping up playing the video entitled 'ActiveMovie Window'

There's lots of suggestions on here that it's caused by Power DVD decoders, but I'm not using those. The one's I have tried are:-

Intervideo Video Decoder (The CSS version I have for DVD's)
ATI MPEG Video Decoder (Came with the motherboard)
SageTV MPEG Decoder

and of course the 'default' setting

Does anyone know of a fix for this yet? Or anything I could try?

Thanks in advance

John

EDIT, This also happens when viewing BBC HD which uses the CoreAVC Pro codec

Come on guys and gals, before this falls of the first page without a peep. surely someone must have come across this and fixed it before. There's quite a few threads about it that just end, never to see the light of day again.
I've got £300 of client machine sat here that may as well just be a door stop without a working Sage setup.
I'll take anything I can get at this point

Well if you want help you have to do better that telling us it's a Asus Pundit P Series. There's certainly more than one. And I'm guessing it's an ATI video chipset.

Almost any time I have seen this happen it is an ATI card and usually related to drivers, directx or the video settings. Make sure any video driver hot patches are installed. And turn off all the settings so it is doing as little as possible. (No special effects or pixel shaders, etc.)
