My Pictures features

Is there any other way to view pictures in SageTV other than what is there. It seems all you can do is view rows of thumbnails, 3 columns to a row and expand them full screen. You can't change the thumbnail size, number of columns/rowsor or slideshow delay, or are there some settings somewhere to enable features such as these? I guess I am spoiled as I've been using ACDSee for so long.

Also, is there a way use invoke a 3rd party picture viewer? I haven't found any info on this in the customizations or by searching the threads.

I have created 2: an Adobe Photoshop Elements viewer (requires older version of PSE but I see that you have ACDSee anyways) and one for J. River Media Center (handles music and videos as well). The JRMC one has its own slideshow viewer that allows you to adjust the delays. See the links in my signature for more information.

I saw your Adobe Photoshop Elements customization, but don't have Photoshop so I didn't go any further. Do you mean it will work with ACDSee?

No, I meant that it was unlikely that you would have an older copy of PSE if you use ACDSee. JRMC will "work" with ACDSee in that you can just set it to watch your import folders that you use in ACDSee and it will pull all the metadata in from the pictures (including keyword tags if it uses the standard tagging mechanism).

But do I need JRMC then? If not, will it allow me to change the delay on slideshows and choose more columns and rows in the viewer?

JRMC replaces the browsing and has its own database such that you don't import your photos into Sage so yes you need it for the plugin.

But this doesn't sound like what you are looking for. Have you looked at the "Slideshow Options" button in the Default STV (left side of browser)? Also, issuing the Options command in the browser allows you to alter the number of columns and rows.

I spent an hour looking for slideshow options in SageTV and can't find them, but now I just right clicked and OMG there they are. I was using a keyboard before.

Thanks! The features I want are right there!

While in the Photos section press the "Options" key and you can adjust the number of columns, number of rows and the sizes.

Does this work with the HD200? I want to be able to view pictures and videos from my photos folder in one go.

In the default STV it will work. I do not think you can see photos and videos at the same time.

I was just hoping for something like Windows Explorer or Picasa where it treats photos and videos in the same folder viewable one after the other.

I am using SageMC over HD200.
Thanks
