Question Row of White squares(CC-?) after firmware update

I did the new firmware update on my HD-200(4/29) and now there is a row of white squares separated by dashes across the bottom of screen when watching Recorded shows of ripped DVD's. I assume this is some form of closed captioning but there is no letters just empty square boxes.
Has anyone seen this? Do I need a different video decoder?

Thanks, Randy

Your signature doesn't give the version of SageTV you are running, but if it isn't one of the last 2 beta releases that may be your problem. I seem to recall a few posts about this issue.

I am running the 6.5.14 beta and have been since it was released on the 23rd. I'm not having any problems with the Sage beta on my system and think you should give it a try.

Thanks Helen for the reply. You may be correct--I just checked and I am using 6.5.12. I thought I was up to date but I must have missed a couple of updates. I will try it as soon as my machine is free from recording.
