Scheduling Series\Favorites Problem

I am having an annoying problem scheduling NASCAR races. I like to watch sporting events close to live but delayed enough to skip the adds. I have NASCAR races set to record as a series because I kept missing them due to life related duties.

I have two problems the firsts being the most important.

1. Sage keeps selecting a later date to record the race. Often the race gets replayed in the middle of the night and Sage will select that race to record. This happens even if there is a tuner available for the first run of the event. Is there a way to make it always record the first available showing?

2. The second I can live with but it is annoying. The series is NASCAR Racing and it records every practice and and series for all events. Is there a way to set it up so that it only records the Sprint Cup and Nationwide races?

I am using SageMC and have not stumbled across something that seems like it might work.

for #2 i think a keyword favorite like "NASCAR Racing Sprint Cup" or something like that should do the trick...

as far as #1 goes what happens if your NASCAR favorite is the first favorite... theoretically then nothing should prevent it from recording... just a thought no idea if i will work or not...

To a key word Favorite with "Nascar Racing Sprint Cup" eliminates a lot of the extra junk. Still not sure how to get just the Race.

I moved it up to the number one priority and it still tried to record this weeks race in the middle of the night. Anyone have any ideas.

What about adding "live" to the keyword... Or is there another setting in the favorite to give priority to the live airing?

Unfortunately, Sage does not have any concept of live vs. tape delayed airings. The info is available from Zap2It's data, but Sage does not import the flag, use it, nor make it available to others (via the API).

I've submitted a bug report/feature request for Sage to add this flag to it's listing info and expose it via the API, but to date they haven't. Maybe if more people submit a similar bug report then they may do it down the road.

I have the same desire to ensure that the initial, live airing of hockey, baseball, football, etc. gets recorded as opposed to a tape delayed/edited replay of the event.
