Donations

I have got many PM's and emails about donations and where to send me something. I did this project in my spare time because first and foremost I wanted it. I did not do it with the intention of making any money nor do I want the obligation that taking donations implies. I appreciate the thought very much but it is not my intention to make/take money.

If you want to like the addin and want to donate please donate here
Donate

This is a disease that is very close and personal to me (I have it). So if you feel the need to help please help.It is a very lowly funded disease as it doesn't effect a high percentage of the population.

Again there is no obligation and I don't expect any one to donate nor do should you expect something in return from me for donating other than my thanks and gratitude.

Special Thanks to:
  • MyMovies team for fully supporting this project and giving me the developer tools I needed
  • SageTV and their relentlessness support to me and things I needed to make this project come to life.
  • Stylistic for some images and the logo.
  • SageTV 3rd part developers for helping me and bearing with me i private and public discussions (you know who you guys are)
  • My Private test group for running this through the relentless testing it has undergone. They really helped me iron out some issues throughout and still will.
  • Team ortus for the code sharing and idea sharing we have all had through this project and ortus project. They both have and will continue to benefit from our sharing.
  • Peter Helto for help writing the wiki and cleaning up my mess.

Current immediate attention issues:

1. Some extenders are being recognized as clients even though they are local to the SageMyMovies install.
2. Sagetv not running in service mode will not save settings.

Installed and running BEAUTIFULLY!!!

It looks super fast considering Im remoted to it from work.. haha.

I love the fact that it adds on to the existing architecture of SageTV and doesnt overwrite it. The standard views are still there but you get the MyMovies option to choose.

NICE!!

Qustion though. Is there a way to make SageTV remember that I was viewing the movies in one of your views so when I just hit Videos, it goes to yours and not the default list view?

From the SageTV Main menu right arrow on Videos, right arrow on MyMovies, arrow down to your favorite view and hit the favorite button on your remote. That will make your chosen view the default view for MyMovies.

You can use the Options button to bring up Video Menu Options, select MyMovies options, enable replace Videos tab with MyMovies tab.

That should do what you want

Just installed from the UI and restarted UI, but the words/letters in your plugin are all jumbled and no movie fan art. Do I need to download something else (already have mymovies on my sagetv server). I'm I missing something?

Thanks Helen! As I am remoted into the server, I can't try it right now but will when I get home.

I saw the replacement way in the Wiki, but until I ease the WAF to start using MM, I thought having both options available would be nice, but the default one being a MM view.

Plucky,

This isnt a big issue, but in the list view, when a title is longer than the space provided, it marquees left and right.. which is fine, but it moves to the right so much that it obstructs the view of the info.

(Not sure if this is the Info stuff you mentioned that wasnt working yet)

When I install from an extender I have to power off and back on the extender before everything looks OK.

You may need to restart your SageTV (or service) if installing from client or server/client.

You installed the Addon from the UI Mod list and not the General list right?

That was indeed the case for my HD200 box. when I restarted the hd200 then it was scanning the database and cacheing (pronounced cashing lol I can't spell).

If this is needed then maybe pluckyhd can use restart server instead? I notice if plugins use restart server instead of restart ui would force the HD200 to shut off.

Nice job Plucky!

I have installed but when I try to go to MyMovies I get an SQL Connection Error that says The connection to the host null, named instance mymovies has failed. Error: "java.net.UnknownHostException:null". Verify the server and instance names, check that no firewall is blocking UDP traffic to port 1434, and for SQL Server 2005 or later verify that the SQL Server Browser Service is running on the host.

I don't have the firewall on. I am not sure what else to do to fix this. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Quaz

Can you bug this I didn't realize I could restart the server vs just restarting the UI I will add that too the code.

Do you have the mymovies collection manager installed on the server? or client you are trying to access it from?

I have it on my sagetv server. Could it be that it doesn't work if the collection manager is updating? It is currently importing my movies from my folders.

Thanks,
Quaz

This is fantastic!

Plucky and all that worked on this, THANK YOU!

It installed without issue, however I get a blank screen when viewing Folders. I read the Wiki and am trying to follow the setup for the Folder view. The problem is that I do not understand where the 'mymoviesshare\sagetv\properties folder' is. I have searched for it and can not find it.

Thanks again!
