Can't get Native output resolution to work

Just got my new HD300 and installed it, but I can't get native output resolution to work.

This is PAL land here, and chose 576i and 576p in the available resolutions tab,
but resolution never changes to 576i when watching a DVD iso, nor to 1080p24 when watching a BD iso.

Any clues, please?

So you set Native Output Resolution Switching on?

And Sage detected multiple different resolutions and allows you to choose them under Output Resolution screen?

If you only chose those two it won't be able to switch to 1080.

Don't know then, maybe it detected the source file resolutions incorrectly.

I take it you can switch manually via the Video Out button OK?

Have you tried non iso files, eg mkvs?

Yes, I can switch resolutions manually, but automatic switching was the main feature that attracted me to the HD300 (I'm using an external video processor).

Didn't try mkvs, though.

Thanks, I'll try that one.

Now, if that plugin would just change resolutions *automatically*...

A newbie question...

How do I install that plugin on the HD300?

I don't get a "Setup -> SageTV Plugins" menu option...

You are using the HD300 connected as an extender to a Sage TV server, not standalone right?

You needed to post in this forum for standalone mode - SageTV HD Theater - Media Player

Can't help with standalone, unsure if you can use plugings, I only use extender mode.

Thanks, starfire!

I've already started a new thread there.

If the mods would like to, this thread can be closed.

Type this line in your extender properties file
Code:
extender_resolution_extra_modes=1920x1080p@24|standard\=HDMI_1080p24;1280x720i@60|standard\=HDMI_720i60;1280x720p@60|standard\=HDMI_720p60
It should work

Rasmus

Rasmus,

I've copied it to the /rw/sage/Sage.properties file, turned the HD300 off/on but that didn't work.

Should be on the detailed info page for the media files. I believe it's an option when you select it, or via the Info button on the remote.
