ffdshow subtitle control via UI?

I just got ffdshow working so that I can get subtitles for my mkv movies. I'd like to be able to turn them on and off without the use of the mouse.

Does anyone have this working? I can see a couple ways to do it, the cleanest would be to have a STVI that would add the commands to the UI so it would be seemless, the other way I could map a key to my remote and send the command to ffdshow via evenghost.

Anyone have something like this working already?

That plugin doesn't do what I needed, but I tried it anyway.

I was able to get it working by loading the ffdshow plugin into Eventghost and added a key (blue) from the remote to toggle subtitles. Works great, just was hoping to have a more integrated solution.
