Beautiful card......so what is the technical reason we can't use this? I thought that if it had standard Windows drivers, we may be able to use that generic driver that someone developed for Sage (kinda like the network encoder?). I'm just brain storming here.....

fyi, from the AVerMedia website:
Q: Can audio be recorded in Dolby 5.1?Also, 1080i and 1080p is recorded at 1080p 30fps, no 1080p 60fps support.

The card can handle 1080p 60fps input, but it records it at 30fps. So I guess it depends on your definition of "support".

A while back, I was shopping for an inexpensive handheld camcorder for my daughter, ala Flip video. Most of them are advertised as 1080p, but if you look closely, it's 30fps. I ended up buying one that was 720p 60fps.
Technically, they are correct, it is 1080p. However, the video quality would be more like 1080i, I suspect. The packaging would probably look something like this: This camcorder supports 1080p * at 30fps Maybe I should go into advertising/packaging...
