I have been looking for a software solution for my project for some time and found SageTv to be the best so far.

One of the down sides to the software is the Music Juke box. This is one of teh main features of the software I require. Having the tv and epg is and added benifit and not something I had original planned for the solution but after testing it, it has found its way into my plans

Anyway onto the reason for this thread. The Music Dukebox. What I am looking for is better control over music. As in not just be able to search by albumn or band but have sub groups. For example if I have the list of bands I can then see a list of the albumns not just all the tracks I have from that band. Also be able to search by Genre and inside that be able to select a band then an albumn. When you have a few thousand albumns on your server you need better duke box management Look at something like Winamp 5 Medialibrary controller to see what i mean.
Now is this something I can configue or create a skin or something or does this have to go down on a PLS PLS REQUEST list for Frey

Also maybe I have missed something but I seem to struggle to go back to where I was. If for example im playing an albumn or playing a movie or even watching tv.....how do I just go back to it without having to go through the menu and selecting start media again. An Exmaple. I was watching a DVD and wanted to look at the epg...at the epg..how do i just go back to the DVD video display...is there not a back option?

Take a look at J River Media Center, it's the best music manager out there right now.

As for how to go back, the left arrow usually takes you up a menu, or there's a back command.
