Okay soooo....
Okay sooo obviously this thread was dead over 2 months a go, but I wanted to know how this device is doing now? I think this could definately solve a couple of my needs: Quiet operation and HD capabilities. Either I go with this or the Pinnacle Showcenter 200 (I like this better due to not needing a VCR anymore). Any opinions would be appreciated!

I would read the posts on this thread - starting with this post it looks discouraging:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...&&#post5723209 I was thinking about getting one but have decided I don't want to take the chance. The LP2 (IODATA LinkPlayer2=LP2) may be my option but now I think I'll wait for the LP3 with HDMI that I have read some posts about. In any case I am going to research it closely because I don't want to get a lemon like I did when I bought the DSM320. Bought it before I saw the Buffalo LinkTheater. I was saving up to get one when I read the thread above which made me change my mind. |

I just wanted to mention on here that I can confirm that the LinkTheater can play transport stream (.TS) files perfectly.
I am using the LinkTheater to play back my HD recordings until Sage gets all of the kinks out of their TS playback. The LinkTheater has worked perfectly on all TS's I have thrown at it. And that includes flawless playback of DD 5.1 audio. Jason |
