well it may be a disk issue and not a network issue. changing the cluster size seems to have fixed the issue with the glitches in the recordings.

new problem though. it is taking 12 seconds for a file to open once i've selected it. this is not a popular effect. am i the only one experiencing this kind of latency?

all i want is to be able to maintain a library of shows with all their show information. frankly i don't understand why someone added the "archive" function to sage, but didn't make it actually do anything useful. it marks shows as archived. big deal. how about having the ability to set an archive directory (on a server on the network). when you archive a show it actually moves the file to the archive retaining the recording information and that show (let's say the 2/27 airing of lost) stays in the lost "folder" in your sage recordings view. it does not appear seperate from your locally stored episodes of lost even though it's on another computer. even if the show took 12 seconds to open i'd be a lot happier if i had that capability.

sorry for the vent. i just had a misunderstanding about the wait for shows to start playing that turned into a fight. i'm so frustrated

Sage won't delete things that are in the archive. That's why I use it.
