Hmmm - looks like its not loading the "TS Info Parser". Thats the NVidia Transport Stream (TS) parser... If you can check the Filter ID value of the parser we can see if thats the problem. The value can be check from GraphEdit or Radlight's Filter Manager (I would sugest this one its a very cool tool and its free).

The ID should be: {62A21571-3A49-4842-88BA-F800FA3C7A4D}

This does not affect the BDA Test App - it does NOT use the TS Info Parser filter...

Again I am hoping to remove some of the filter dependency issues in future versions.

No the card does NOT have a hardware MPEG encoder. At least not for Sage/PVR-ing it won't.

Thanks for the reply stealth however I cannot find anything that mentions Nvidia transport stream or TS for that matter in both programs you suggested. I have installed the Nvidia decoder and they work fine in many programs. This is likly the reason I get file system errors trying to playback TS files in Sage. If I could somehow manually install the TS filter I think that would fix it.

the prog is part of ndvd. if you installed ndvd then it hasz the parser.

Are you talking about NVDVD? Because googling ndvd does not come up with much... I have NVDVD installed and have tried reinstalling it with no luck

Sorry i know this has been off topic.

This morining before going under the laser i installed .8 and everything quite working. Couldn't tune a channel or anything, I tried right up till i had to go but it wouldn't work. After getting home i had to take some drops and sleep for several hours to allow healing to start so i didn't get back to it till after 4p cst. I messed around with it till almost 6p reinstalling things and everything and finally after getting the fusion app resetup i found out i wasn't getting any signal at all. Looking down at my antena connection i found it pulled out on the floor DOH!, So i plugged it back in and everything worked fine.

It's now up to .8 and changing channels without problem.

Anybody else seeing rather high CPU usage? I'm seeing about 15%, just recording. Also all the files seem to be split at about 500MB (roughly).

Thanks i apreciate that.

I haven't paid much attention to it before now but watching while it recorded enterprise i useally hovered around 3-9% but did have some jumps to 15-18% at rare times. I haven't seen the file split at 500mb mine are useually whatever the length of the recording between 3.16g for ch29 to 3.64gig for ch9 for an hour depending on what the bitrate the station used to encode the file at.

i havent used it as such but as you know my issues and all. though i am doing a fresh install now. I knew i should have ordered the sp2 disk.

crazedz: you only slept for a couple hours? i slept for like 20 and loved every second of it. and when the vision clears up more you wil be even more amazed. oh one other thing though this is OT get some flax seed oil and take it. it helps the eyes regain its tear film. I still have a tad bit of dry eyes at times and i got it done dec 30th. and ill tell you what i kicked myself for not getting it done allot earlier. hope you heal well.

After a couple nights of troubleshooting and even formatting my drive, I found out that the TS parser was not installing despite installing All needed tools because of the older Nvidia codecs I was installing. Remember the codecs that were leaked out on the Aopen FTP site? Ya I was using those and the new codec installer would not update because of them. Had to not only uninstall but unregister dll's to get the new ones working. Now everything runs great including Live TV! Thank you Stealth for putting out an awsome prog and fulfilling my only big dissapointment with SageTV
I will be definatly getting another A180 to put in my machine as the one I'm using now is going into an MCE boxen for a customer. The best results for me were using the Nvidia Codecs and unfortuntly Overlay instead of vmr9. CPU useage during recording is 5-7% and playback 30-40%. This machine has a 2ghz A64 3000+ and 9800SE. The card has successfully recorded and played back from 5 different stations with mixed HD and SD.

Stealth, I eagarly await future versions and would definatly help out torwards you getting some new hardware

I thought 0.8 was working great, but I'm having some weird bugs. I've just noticed that I can't tune to certain channels directly (i.e. I have nothing recording or playing, I go to guide then select channel 11). I get the audio processing error. However, if I find a channel that works, then from there select channel 11, I don't get the audio processing error.

edit: I rebooted and now it seems to be tuning fine

I take that back. It's not working again. Here's some more log files after my reboot.

edit: I did more testing. If I shutdown everything, then startup HDNE, then Sage. I can tune directly to 11. I then stop. And if I attempt to tune to 11 directly again, I get the audio processing error. Just restarting Sage doesn't fix it, I have to restart HDNE.

Same issue here with the audio error and general flackyness. Funny that it happend to be Fox 10:00 news for me too. Also I have one station that sometimes tunes in and sometimes doesnt and when it doent tuning it completely locks sage up for minutes. Time will tell... The tuner on the A180 also seems to be quite better on locking signals than my AccessDTV card!

I have the audio processing error mostly on FOX also??? Not sure whats going on there - I can play the FOX recordings in WinDVD but the audio sounds at half of the recorded level with a "POP" in the beginning of play.

I have been avoiding processing the TS & PS streams at any level outside of the DEMUX/MUX processing - but I think I am going to dig deeper now to resolve this.

Also when channels have a weak signal and the tuner card is not recording anything Sage is going to error/hang eventually because the file has missing data...

Thoughts on how to handle this? I was thinking about having HDNE sending "NO SIGNAL" mpeg stream while not receiving data... (that is - video frames that are a screen with the text, NO SIGNAL)

I have got V 0.8 running and other than the occasional "unable to render audio" problem. This thing works great. I am looking forward to this running as a service. BTW is there any way (such as command line hooks) that will allow you to open this and start up without any user interface?

The only problem I have, and this is not at all related to this app(just need sugestions as to where to turn), is related to the EPG data. I live in Atlanta and my local PBS HD station does not simulcast. The schedule is completely different than the analog station. Using the HDNE, I see how I could set this use both the analog and digital channel guide info. Problem is that this info is not listed in channel steup section nor does zap2it list it seperately. I relaize that I could probably get this done via xml but that would be kind of like swatting a fly with a baseball bat. Any duggestions as to who to talk to about getting this info added.
