ATI HDTV Wonder to SDTV??
I'm still working on my wife to let me get a new HDTV, but in the mean-time...
My current setup is working OK, except the local cable SUCKS for quality. Whenever anything gets recorded on Sage using one of the analog cable tuners, my wife complains and we have to switch to the DirecTivo. The local stations all brodcast in digital, but not HDTV. I'm thinking about purchasing an ATI HDTV Wonder to tune the local digital stations, so that my first choice when recording is the DirecTV, second would be the digital via ATI Wonder, and only when recording 3+ shows at once start using the analog cable tuners. Is this a viable option?

Don't waste your money on the Blunder, if you get a card get either an Avermedia A180 or a Fusion 5, both are superior (QAM support, albeit maybe not in the drivers yet) and are roughly half the price.

I've read that some people are having problems with an A180 and a PVR500. I've also read that people are having issues with the Fusion cards. Most of the "success" stories seem to be using the ATI HDTV Wonder. Maybe I'll wait a month or so for the Beta to gain better HDTV support and for other's to discover which card works best.

Probably logical, I just can't fathom spending $140 for a Blunder (which can't do QAM) when you can get a Fusion 5 or A180 for <$100.
