Are you saying the r5000 mod video breaks up? or was there some sarcasim towards the hd pvr?

Not sure what he was meaning, but either way, I dno't think I'd recommend the R5000 as a new purchase. The HD-PVR is close enough in quality, and better in interoperability (can move from service to service). File size might be a bit larger with the HD-PVR, but the money you save on the encoder could buy another harddrive.

I mean I see the picture break up on some recordings, usually fast motion. Only with the R5000. Not sure if it's Dish's weird encoding with the HD200's decoder, or some setting I have in the R5000.
