Same here. Works great with the pause of play button and some others. The only ones I know it doesn't work with are the arrow and number buttons.

I didn't realize how awesome of an addition this is, but now that I have Dream Aquarium I absolutely LOVE it. Stared at the thing for 15 minutes last night instead of watching TV... wait I was still watching TV... hm...

Tried this for the first time last night, and I'm very impressed. It looks amazing on my widescreen TV through my MVP!

Whilst playing a video, changing the aspect ratio to either Fill, Source, 4:3, or 16:9 makes no difference. The video always fills the screen. Works perfectly on my PC though, I only get this issue through my MVP. I'm assuming that this is a limitation of the MVP?

Also, when viewing 'My Videos' by folders (rather than by Genre, etc.) I can only access one of my video import folders. I have "E:\Video" and "F:\Video" both set up as video import folders, but I can only see "E:\Video". It's strange, because in any other view mode, the videos from "F:\Video" appear 'in the mix' as normal.

Steve.

is there any difference in leaving the screensaver running all the time versus having it timeout to a blank screen. i leave the htpc on 24/7, and would like as little stress on it as possible during the rest periods...as far as hdd powering down and whatever else.

Dirk,

Is there a way to add Refresh Imported Media to my menus. I couldn't find it in Internal Programs. I do not like to regularly scan imported media I like to refresh it manually,

But other than swithing to the standard STV each time to refresh it I cannot find another way to do it.

If you go into Imported Videos and pull up the option menu when the curser is on one of the left buttons, and not one of the videos, one of the options should be to refresh the media library.

Tuesday Sage was fine... Now most of my DVD's on disc have part of the description as the title, and the title is part of the description. What's going on and is there a way to fix it? Thanks!

Have you changed the aspect ratio settings for fill, source, 4:3 and 16:9 from the options menu when playing a video? (MVP will be a differant properties file and so differant settings)

I seem to remember the defaults are to have them all at 100%

More info here on aspect ratios

IMDB lookups from within the video library don't seem to save now, when you click save. Can anyone else confirm this?

Yes, I've had that problem since 6.3.0 . However, I assumed it was just something with my setup.

The IMDB saving etc... was changed in 6.32 read back on this thread for workarounds.

v6.3.2:

video library metadata compatible to v6.0 default STV

I believe the thread starts here.

Is there anything in Sage that allows you to tell what the aspect ratio from the source is?

Mitch

Auto Compress Favorites Issues

I am having a few problems with the auto comress feature.

1. The entries that it is putting into the sage.properties for the favorites is putting in the wrong name for the transcode format. I have manuly changed these names and it seems to be working OK until I set another favorite to auto compress than that entries has to be changed too.

2. The MVP client does not seem to fire the Auto Compress job on the server. When I launch a placeshifter client on the server it does launch the job. I do not know if the MVP client is supposed to be able to launch the jobs or not.

I really like this feature. I think I might just have some config problems. I would be very happy with any help I can get.

Thanks

Favorites Manager

Dirk,

When I set up a favorite by Key Word... In the default STV it asks whether I want to include "ALL Filelds" or just the "Title". Am I missing something in SageMC or is it just not there?

The source should tell it to Sage, and in one of the settings you tell Sage to use the source info (you can also tell Sage to use 16:9 or 3:4 for instance).

However, the source does not always pass that info that well. I use the STV Import: Automatic Aspect Ratio Switcher for SageTV 4 which works great on my MVP.

Hi. Yes, I am aware of the changes, but even under Flachbar's directions, it states that you can do a manual lookup again after going to the new version. My point it, that these manual look ups work fine, but then you can't save it (save button not working)...meaning that you can never get the data to stick after you exit and go back to that video again. Maybe I missed something, but for me it seems broken.

Saving Movie info...

First, thanks for the STV and all the hardwork -- WAF is high. Much appreciated.

I just installed 6.3.2 on my test rig. IMDB search appears to be working/saving, however, manual rename of the title doesnt appear to save. These are brand new directories (i.e. no data from 6.3.1).
