Poor Guide performance.

I have horrible control when in my guide. The sage logo constantly comes up spinning. And my cpu usage goes to 100% when I enter the guide. And goes back down when I exit it.

Anyone else see this?

I'm not seeing that. Did you change the amount of lookahead for the schedule? If you did that's probably your issue.

I have similar issues when using 3D mode.

Without 3d mode no such problem!

I've noticed this as well on both the client and server. Overall IMHO the newer versions are more sluggish in most UI functions

For some reason I'm thinking that I didn't seem this problem as often with Java 1.5 update 7... But I had to downgrade to 1.4 update 12 to stop various other freezing and troubles...

I just wish Sage worked like it's supposed to with the latest Java. I'm getting less and less happy with it. Seems like Java sucks, and is bug ridden...

Angry

I also have this problem, and have read many posts that lead me to the conclusion that java sucks bad. I wish they would just rewrite sage to run natively in windows like any other good software, that way if they encountered a bug it could be found and fixed and not just blamed on java.

Sage doesn't just run on windows.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

That's like saying, "I wish they would just re-build the Boeing 777 a few inches wider."
