Bi-Weekly(ish) crash - getDuration:0

I was runnning Sage 5 stably for a while now until recently my sage server started locking up hard once to twice a week.

When it does the logs show a stream of "getDuration : 0".

I don't want to post the whole file as it is 5.7 meg but towards the end of normal logging it runs like this
Code:
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.400 getDuration : 0
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.401 VideoFrame.timeSelected2(Fri 11/17 19:29:13.203, true) currFile=MediaFile[id=6378882 A[6327674,6300337,"Murder, She Wrote",5250@1117.19:20,60] host=mediaportal encodedBy=Plextor ConvertX M402U A/V Capture MyDVDvbr D:\TV Recordings\MurderSheWrote-ThickerthanWater-6327674-0.mpg, Seg0[Fri 11/17 19:29:13.203-Thu 1/1 1:00:00.000]] realDur=0
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.402 seeking numpushbuffers=0 seekTime=0
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.402 Mpeg2Reader seeking to pos=0
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.402 flushPush0()
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.406 Creating new push thread
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.407 VF processing job null nPlayin=true
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.419 isRec=true rd=4216 base=0
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.423 VF thread is now waiting for 0:50:46.547
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.509 playPush0()
Fri 11/17 19:29:17.741 getDuration : 0
Fri 11/17 19:29:18.084 getDuration : 0
Fri 11/17 19:29:18.587 getDuration : 0
Fri 11/17 19:29:18.757 getDuration : 0
Fri 11/17 19:29:18.923 getDuration : 0
Is this just a symptom of the lock up or could it be part of the problem?

Also, does anyone know of any good logging / diagnosing software I could run on my sage server to help me identify the problem?
